Certification of the qualification as a course leader is part of the course provider certification.
This alone is not sufficient to enable participants in your courses to claim a contribution towards the course costs from health insurance funds. Certification as a course provider is also required for this.
A distinction is made between initial certification and recertification. Initial certification is valid until the end of the specified two-year certification period, whilst each recertification extends the validity by a further two years.

Staff must meet clearly defined quality criteria in order to be successfully certified by QualiCert. The criteria vary depending on the specific health-related method. You can find the criteria for your method in the relevant specialist section.
Certification is valid for fixed two-year periods (e.g. 2025–2026, 2027–2028, 2029–2030, etc.). For certification as a course leader, the fees differ between initial certification and recertification.
The fees always cover the validity of the initial certification until the end of the current two-year validity period. They consist of a one-off basic fee and depend on the date of application and the number of certification areas:

For the certification of a qualification for the current calendar year until the end of the current two-year validity period, the application must be received by QualiCert by 30 November at the latest. For applications received by QualiCert in December, certification is only possible for the following year, until the end of the current two-year validity period.
The fees for two-year re-certification depend on the number of areas you wish to have re-certified and are set out in the table below.

A course is deemed to be recognised if both the qualification of the course leader and the certification of the provider are available.

The further training does not necessarily have to be subject-specific - topics relating to prevention such as exercise, nutrition, relaxation or prevention concepts are also valid.
However, BLS CPR training or further training courses and courses aimed at end consumers are not recognised. It is important that the further training is offered by an institution whose core business is professional training and further training.
The detailed requirements for further training courses are set out in the further training regulations. You will automatically receive these with every initial or re-certification.
No. You do not have to send in your training certificates on an ongoing basis. QualiCert will check them collectively as part of your re-certification.
The initial certification fee primarily covers the work involved in checking your documents and qualifications. These services also apply if certification cannot be granted.

Persons who have reached the age of 60 before 1 January of the period of validity for which re-certification is requested are exempt from the continuing education requirement.
However, QualiCert recommends that you continue to attend further training courses voluntarily even after reaching this age limit. In this way, you can stay up to date professionally and ensure the quality of your services in the long term.
Yes, QualiCert reserves the right to reject an initial or re-certification even if the formal requirements and criteria are met. This applies in particular if there are indications that applicants do not offer a guarantee of irreproachable professional practice.
Online training can be recognised as part of the certification, provided it is delivered synchronously. Training is synchronous when the instructor and participants are online at the same time (live online) and direct interaction, guidance and correction are possible.
Asynchronous online offerings such as videos, recordings or on-demand content are not recognised.
Invoices and course confirmations must clearly show that the offering is online training and whether it was delivered synchronously or asynchronously.
Vorkonzeptionierte Programme sind Trainingsformate, die von Anbietern wie Les Mills, Zumba oder TRX komplett vorgeplant und vorgegeben werden. Sie enthalten klare Choreografien oder Workouts, festgelegte Technik- oder Musikvorgaben und verlangen meist eine spezielle Trainer-Ausbildung. Für vorkonzeptionierte Programme genügt aufgrund der klar definierten und standardisierten Inhalte eine Zertifizierung auf Stufe 2.
Die NQR‑Stufen orientieren sich am Nationalen Qualifikationsrahmen (NQR) und zeigen an, welches Qualifikationsniveau für die Leitung eines Angebots erforderlich ist. Sie berücksichtigen sowohl die formale Ausbildung als auch den Umfang der Verantwortung im Erbringungsprozess der Dienstleistung.
Je nach Methode und Tätigkeitsbereich wird ein Angebot einer von vier Stufen zugeordnet. Die Stufe bestimmt, welche Ausbildung, Erfahrung und Verantwortlichkeiten für die Zertifizierung notwendig sind.
