It also contains specifications for unsupervised operating hours.

It specifies binding requirements for safety, quality and operation - from operator responsibility, supervision and team qualifications to infrastructure (route construction, maintenance and cleaning, escape routes). Comprehensive emergency management with organisation, first aid and documented emergency training as well as instruction, binding rules of conduct and an access system are also regulated. This creates a reliably safe and high-quality environment for all users.
The FitSafe, EMSSafe, ClimbingSafe and CourseActive standards are managed and maintained by the Association for Quality in Training and Exercise (QTB). The SN EN 17229 standard is managed by the Swiss Association for Standardisation (SNV).
