Tariff 595 and new invoicing standard

Information sessions on Tariff 595

In our free information sessions, held in German, French and English, we will guide you step by step through all the relevant changes to Tariff 595.

You will receive:

  • a clear overview of the most important changes
  • an understanding of the logic and structure of the new tariff codes
  • specific examples of how to correctly code subscriptions, classes, personal training and online services
  • real-world scenarios from everyday studio and class operations, illustrating how implementation might look in practice

We will also demonstrate live how this will be implemented in the fitflowPro software solution.

Each event will focus on a specific theme, either on the application for class providers or for fitness centres / climbing centres. However, both sessions are designed so that participants from both sectors receive all the relevant information and can fully apply the content.

Information from QualiCert

From 1 January 2027, important changes will come into force regarding the billing of your services to health insurance providers. Please refer to the official letter under ‘Downloads’ for details. Below you will find a summary of the key points.

From 2027, your services must be billed using Tariff 595 and in accordance with a new, standardised invoicing format.
This means:

  • Instead of subscription or participation certificates from QualiCert, you will in future issue your customers with a standardised reimbursement voucher.
  • This reimbursement voucher must be generated using specialised software that automatically takes into account all tariff and mandatory details and generates the voucher in accordance with the new standard.

Tariff 595 is a tariff valid throughout Switzerland for outpatient health-promoting services within the scope of supplementary insurance (VVG).
From 1 January 2027, it will be expanded to cover all services provided by fitness centres, course providers and climbing centres.
Tariff 595 will be mandatory in future for billing health-promoting services via supplementary insurance.

Tariff 595 was revised to bring health promotion in Switzerland up to date in terms of expertise, digitalisation and organisation. Several developments made this step necessary:

  • Systematic classification of health promotion methods: The wide range of training, exercise and prevention programmes has been restructured so that all services can be categorised and billed.
  • Digitalisation and rising claim volumes: Insurers and providers require clear, uniform standards to process large volumes of reimbursement claims efficiently and without errors.
  • Expanded scope of services from 2027: Tariff 595 will in future cover all outpatient health promotion services – including membership schemes, group classes, personal training and digital or hybrid programmes.
  • Greater transparency and traceability: Uniform rules improve comparability, increase acceptance among insurers and make billing easier for customers and providers.

Health insurers are increasingly recognising exercise, training and prevention programmes as an important part of health promotion. Tariff 595 and the new reimbursement form ensure that this recognition is consistently implemented.

Benefits for you:

  • Your services are recorded to the same standard as outpatient services in the medical sector.
  • The standardised reimbursement form ensures clear, transparent and consistent billing across Switzerland.
  • Formal equivalence with medical claims forms strengthens the professional recognition of your work.

QualiCert has entered into an exclusive partnership with the provider of the fitflowPro software. The aim is to ensure that the basic functions required for the reimbursement form are available to QualiCert customers in a cost-effective, user-friendly and easy-to-use manner.

You will find an overview of other software providers in the relevant appendix. You are, of course, free to choose your own provider.

fitflowPro will be offering a voluntary soft launch from autumn 2026.
During this phase, you will be able to:

  • create initial reimbursement documents
  • test internal processes
  • gain practical experience with the new system

This will ensure you are fully prepared when the new standard becomes mandatory from 2027.

From 2027, these documents can no longer be used for claims with health insurance providers.

To ensure the software is optimally tailored to your needs, the fitflowPro team would like to ask you to take part in a short survey → go to the questionnaire.

In the questionnaire, you can also sign up to take part in the test phase starting in May 2026. During this phase, you will work directly with the software team and provide valuable feedback.

The GLN is applied for via the Refdata Foundation, and the ZSR number via SASIS. Both numbers will be applied for and provided on your behalf by QualiCert. These two numbers are essential for generating reimbursement documents.
